The work of the Bible School in Sucaeva

  BIBLE SCHOOL (in its 12th year)
Sucava Bible School has classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings with chapel on Tuesday nights.
The Bible School started with the intention of helping the churches in the area
due to opposition and strong tradition in the area we had to start a church
in order to provide a place for the people who were not recreived in the churches after attending the Bible school.

SUCEAVA BIBLE INSTITUTE (in its 5th year)
provides a continuation of the Bible School programe
every other Saturday for 5 hours
at present there are 50 students attending

BISTITA BIBLE SCHOOL EXTENTION
About 200 km west of Suceava about 60 people gather every other weekend to hear more of God

IASI EXTENTION
We work in 7 villages in the area. They already have 2 Church buildings one of them with a Christian kindergarton. They are in the process of buying another house in the third village wher they meet in a private house already too small for all the people who come.

CIMPULUNG (65 km west of Sucaeva)
A tentative extension of the Bible School with about 25 Gypsy young people.

EVANGELISM
A team of 6 go into Movileni village (about 40 km away) once a week having services and bible study in people's homes.
A team of 5 go into the villages of Boura and Valea Bourei (45 km away from Sucaeva) developing a children's work with 4 to 15 year olds and visiting families in their homes.
A team of 8 go into the village of Basarabi (30 km from Sucaeva) Here we are looking for a building to meet for fellowship prayer and bile study.
One of our staff and Institute student - Doru Safrituc - goes to a gypsy church every other Sunday teaching the bible and taking food.

CHILDREN'S HOMES AND SPECIAL SCHOOLS
Falticeni Children's Home has over 200 children. A team of 10 twice a month visit the home developing personal relationships with over 80 of the children and the leadership of the home.
Bivolarie Special School - (80 km from Sucaeva) a team of 5 visit once a month the 180 children some of which are deaf and mute.
Dorohoi Special School (learning disabilities) 45 km north east of Sucaeva with 120 chldren. A team of 12 visit twice a month sometimes even bringing things to cook for the children.
Gura Humorului Children's Home - 6 people visit the 200 children in this home.
All these shildren along with others recieve Christmas gifts (more than 1000gift bags). We also try to meet some of their urgent needs with the help of lur friends (furniture, clothes, food, special projects)

CHARITY WORK
We have 10 people permantly invoved in this work
Dorkas program - we are partners of Dorkas Int'l Ministries, they bring food and clothesfor about 250 families in the Sucaeva district and we distribute it with our people and expenses 3 times a year.
About 40 other families in Sucaeva and 2 other villages other than the ones in the Dorkas project receive materila help and evengelistic materials.
Doina Caldarariu - the leader of our Charity department has started a program with 4 of our girls for about 10 of the children from poor famlies who don't go to school. Every Saturday the girls cook a meal for them and teach them writing and reading. We want to extend this program for other children from the city and maybe even street children.

CAMPS
Youth Camp - Hundreds of young people from different churches from all over the country come for worship, teaching, personal ministry, fellowship, games and the possibility of new friendships.
Children's camps - on our land at Voronet (40 km west of Sucaeva) involving about 300 children from the poor families and villages and Children's homes and Special Schools where we do evangelism.

TRANSITION CENTRE
This is a program for young people that don't have a family and a job (usually coming from children's homes older than 18) trying to integrate into society. One of our more mature students lives there with the 7 or so people that we help with money, food and housing and assistance to find a job.

MEDICAL CLINICS
Together with Dr. Brooke from England, his team and our nurses and people, we organise clinics. people get to see the doctor and free medication, along with the Gospel. In cooperation with one ofthe christian doctors in town we offer free medical assistance for poor families in his private clinic.

STREET MINISTRY
This includes giving out tracts, singing, drama, giving out coffee, flowers, inviting people to concerts.

DRAMA TEAM
about 8 people invoved doing drama, sketches, puppets for special events, camps, street minisrty, evangelistic concerts, agape meals.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP
About 10 people and others under training lead worship at the Bible School, church, camps, special events and also teaching others praise and worship.

AGAPE MEALS
We bring children from orphanages to our place, cook a good meal, sing songs, have lots of fellowship and fun.

FELLOWSHIP OF CHURCHES
St. Andrew Christian Fellowship is part and founding member of the Federation of Romanian Christian Autonomous Churches - a fellowship of churches designed to offer legal covering and fellowship to the new churches which are not part of the main denominations in Romania.
