Lent 2005 - 40 Days of Purpose
During Lent 2005 as a church we went through the 40 Days of Purpose course. We read a short chapter of the Purpose Driven Life book each day. Just about everyone in the church has been involved in small groups that have met in people's homes, where we have been able to talk about what we have been reading. Also the Sunday services have been looking at the same issues. The pictures below (and other pictures linked to them), show some of the displays that were produced on one of the Sundays to illustrate the things that the church is involved with. These have been loosely grouped under the 5 purposes that we looked at during Lent: |
The first purpose we looked at was Worship. We are made for worship, not just on a Sunday but our whole life is worship.

| We were made for Fellowship. Again this is a whole life thing, but we seek to share our lives with each other - meeting in the small groups and doing things together helps us with this. |  |

Discipleship - we were made to be like Christ, we seek to be better disciples -
to be more like Christ in our actions and reactions to life.
