Church Weekend - October 2006
For the 2006 Church Weekend we stayed in Swindon and had a weekend of events centered around Lawn.
On the Saturday morning we had a number of workshops on different topics ranging from Lectio Devina (scriptural meditation) to to a workshop with Flags and banners.

In the afternoon some of us went for a walk around the Lawn Woods collecting leaves, nuts and other interesting things that we found. It was a beautiful afternoon to enjoy the incredible variety of trees and plants around Lawn.
We came back and arranged some of the things that we found.

Others spent time more restfully learning about flower arranging.
Quite a variety of arrangements were produced.

The most energetic group travelled far and wide around Lawn and the Lawn Woods, looking for good photographs to depict Lawn.
Later these were put together into a slideshow to music and enjoyed by all on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile more creative activity was going on back in the Community Centre where another group spent time on some paintings depicting the themes from Ephesians that we are currently looking at of sitting, walking and standing in Christ.
